PNG to JPG Converter
Turn heavy PNGs into small, universal JPGs — free, private, nothing uploaded.
PNG is a wonderful format for logos and screenshots, but it is the wrong tool for photographs — a photo saved as PNG can be several times larger than it needs to be, which is why forms reject it and websites load slowly. Converting PNG to JPG re-encodes the picture with photo-grade compression, typically shrinking it dramatically while looking identical on screen.
Drop one PNG or a whole folder below; the output format is already set to JPG, so they convert the moment you add them. Transparent areas are filled with clean white, the quality slider lets you balance size against sharpness, and nothing is ever uploaded.
Add your PNG files
Drag and drop one or many PNG images. They convert to JPG instantly — no upload, no wait.
Set the quality
Keep quality high (around 90%) for a near-identical JPG, or lower it to make the file smaller.
Check the result
Each image shows its new size so you can see how much smaller the JPG is than the original PNG.
Download
Save each JPG, or grab the whole batch as a single ZIP file.

Why convert PNG to JPG?
The single biggest reason is file size. PNG stores every pixel losslessly, which is perfect for graphics with sharp edges but hugely wasteful for the smooth tones of a photograph. The same photo as a JPG is often a fraction of the size with no visible difference, so pages load faster, uploads succeed, and storage fills up more slowly.
JPG is also the most universally accepted image format in existence. Every form, printer, email client and app understands it. When an upload portal insists on "JPG/JPEG only" and hands you back an error for a PNG, converting here is the quick fix.
What happens to a transparent background
JPG cannot store transparency — it has no way to record "see-through" pixels. So when a PNG with a transparent background is converted, those areas have to become a solid colour, and this tool fills them with clean white. For most photos and product shots that is exactly what you want, giving you a flat, tidy JPG.
If keeping the transparency matters — for example a logo that needs to sit on a coloured page — then JPG is not the right target. In that case keep the image as PNG, or convert it to WebP, which supports transparency while still being much smaller than PNG.
Balancing quality and size
Because JPG is a lossy format, converting gives you a quality dial. At around 90% the JPG is visually indistinguishable from the PNG for almost any photo, while already being far smaller. Lowering the quality further shrinks the file more, which is handy when you also need to meet an upload limit.
If your goal is a specific KB target rather than just a format change, convert to JPG here and then use the quality slider to bring the size down to where you need it — the two jobs happen in the same tool.

How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Drop one or more PNG files with the format set to JPG and they convert instantly. Download each, or grab them all as a ZIP.
What happens to a transparent PNG background?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a clean white background automatically — giving you a flat, tidy JPG.
Why convert PNG to JPG?
JPG files are usually far smaller than PNG for photos, so pages load faster and uploads fit size limits. JPG is also accepted everywhere.
Will the JPG look worse than the PNG?
At high quality (around 90%) the difference is invisible for photos, while the file is much smaller. Lower the quality only if you also need a smaller size.
Can I convert many PNGs at once?
Yes. Drop a whole folder and every file converts to JPG in one pass, ready to download together as a ZIP.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device. Free, no sign-up.
